Thread regarding GE Healthcare layoffs

Memorial Day cuts all around

Cuts started in service for USCAN last week. Rumor mill has had the numbers of 30/region.
Sales cuts started this week all over with each region taking hits.
Talk of more changes to applications team as well. Reduced hours/part time???
Confusing as the relocation plans are still moving forwards.

I retired from medical systems...health care predisesor. 16 years ago from a senior field engineer position, after 35 yrs with them. I feel to this day it was a forced retirement due to internal controversies of newer employees who were ofother ethnic orgin. I dont buy anything ge makes, not even their BS, down to light bulbs. extreamly disappointed when Imelt got ge tossed off wall street and the dow. not much has changed, I guess. getting rid of people who know more about that business than all the newbies put together. good luck with your sudo-career, if you decide to go to work at ge healthcare.

Yea the RIFs at this stage are puzzling as the company is already going to lose a ton of knowledgable people in the coming months who find other jobs rather than relocate to Chicago. Dumb dumb dumb and makes me question once again why anyone would commit to this company long term.
