Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Be prepared for the worst

The peers and coworkers I have met and had the privilege to work with have been the greatest thing about the 18 years I have been at Hertz. As much as I separate my personal life and work I have had the opportunity to see their families grow as they have seen mine. We have built a strong bond. I see their concerns everyday as they cope with the uncertain times. They do not have the luxury like the senior execs loading up with cash in the bank as Hertz falls apart. I have directed my team to begin to repaper for the worst. What would they do if the doors were to close tomorrow?

This. Exactly what @1akl+158BqRz8 said. Chances of all or even most of us being called back are slim to none. If you are not prepared for that eventuality, it will be on you.
