Same thing going on at other health insurance places.
I was at aetna as an account administrator for a lot of years at the woodland hills california location.
If they ever plan on hiring there I highly recommend not applying.
Even as an account administrator I was treated harshly and rudely by those that have been there a longer time than I was there. Even when you are going through the other areas in the place, you hear people complain out loud constantly. A lot are also unproductive there.
It was at a point where it even effected my work and you lost your sanity there.
If you also asked a question in the department I was in, you were yelled at.
Just do not apply or go there ever. Try another career outside of health insurance places.
Trust me on this.

poster @oip+15h6IixO, you are correct. Couple of months ago our Team Lead and SME title's were removed so they can go back to production. My manager wanted to show the upper-ups that we really need these two titles(which I agree). So my manager is asking our team to post "every question" on the HD, and this is so embarrassing because some of the questions I post may sound stupid to others.
Now reading your post, made me realize, they are probably going to use this against me, because I ask "too many questions" which would help from SME......

Honestly. When I get laid off I won't mind. My manager doesn't think highly of me and expects unrealistic productivity. Often times, my manager scolds me infront of the team and uses me to send messages to the entire team. This morning a coworker didn't follow up on a call back and I got scolded saying I was the backup. I know the message was for another person but I don't like being put on the spot to relay messages intended for others.

UHC can you please utilize some haste in these layoffs? I know I can quit, but the severance packet would be nice.

A handful of employees of UHG R&D were laid off today, including ventures, data science, and IHR. Unknown if more are coming.

Things are too quiet. Optum already had layoffs start... UHC is next. This is one big “circle jerk”.

There is basically no work. Big layoffs across the board. Like I said, we are going to start to lay people off like the folks in Mississippi lose teeth around. It’s going to be really bad. Get working on that resume ASAP.

Is there anyone that knows what is going on in the dental provider division here?
I have heard that it has slowed significantly.
This is where they deal with state verifications, particularly in new york where they require a yearly form to submit to.
They also update additions, terminations, closings, address changes, any other changes also, etc.
This is in regard to the dental office changes all across the country.
I know what is going on, but want to know how bad it is from other people working or know of someone in that division. Thank you.

Optum has had multiple layoffs reducing the entire team. From upper management on down. Nobody is safe. They have outside auditors looking for reducing and if your a manager that doesn’t have any production then you are next!
