Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

CARES Act

Did Mattel participate in the CARES Act? If so, they are obliged to keep the majority of employees through a certain date only. Furloughed employees need to be back on by end of June, if returning.

Mattel and CARES are mutually exclusive terms; you clearly haven't been paying attention to Richard & Ynot's bonus amounts. They care NOT about the peasant workers, just their own bank accounts.

Those furloughed have to be back on staff before end of month and remain for 8 weeks in order for loan to remain a grant. After that, company is free to do whatever.

Mattel is certainly not essential. Not relevant either. When this dumpster fire inevitably collapses, it shouldn't be surprise to anyone. The fat cats at the top are just raiding the last of the corporate coffers, then they will move on. Anyone who feels they have a future there is simply ingnorant.

Mattel is not eligible for this, it is for small businesses or essential industries only.

Mattel laid-off 350 corporate jobs. That’s 4% of the company.
