Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Telasales

I’d like to hear from anyone who knows anything about telasales. How is the job, what is quota like. Thoughts on retail employees that take the role as work from home. Is this a long lasting role? Or is it a role that could be a small step to being cut. Please share.

It's not Telasales, it's Telesales. We have had that department since we started shipping phones to customers. As long as you work ethically, meet your stats and follow the C of C you should be good.

The big question is work from home pre virus was limited to certain States. This is because of local laws, requirements, liability risk etc. I would see that call centers will be mostly a thing of the past just because they can save a ton of money. Just look job at for major companies with work from home... Most have a list of states they will allow work from home. The other thing this telesales.. yes now they are slammed but will that last and will they be next to get hit?! They are already training care to help people on the phone order online before transferred to telesales

Is WFH permanent? I just wonder how retail reps who move to TS will be treated once original TS returns to call centers
