Mid-June is the currently predicted time for layoffs. Anyone hearing rumors?

Layoffs are absolutely happening on June17th.
Look at Microsoft performing in all areas and the stock price. Oracle is nowhere close, as larry didnt believe in cloud. Oracle lost its battle against AMZN,MSFT for now.
There will be an exec shuffle soon in sales, but that is it. If there were going to be June layoffs we would have seen them by now.
Damn, I wish there was a FedEX package coming this week. Unfortunately I believe I might be the token Elder Sacred White Cow that cannot be slaughtered.

When I got the axe, I got my FedEx the same day my manager told me I was gone. it showed up an hour later! I had a good idea my team was going to be hit, so no surprise to me - I walked into another job a week later after taking a short vacation, and never looked back. There is life beyond Oracle - and a much better one too!
Actually, if the management were responsible for anything, they would deny it. Just look at the liar in chief and follow his example.
If the numbers coming up are really bad, I think they would announce layoffs. It shows investors that they are being responsible. Not that anyone in the Oracle management is responsible.....
In the past, people were not notified before they received the fedEx package. I don't think you can count on that. People are using fedEx notification to find out when they are laid off.
@2obt+15m8EuiP I've gotten FedEx packages from Oracle - it was related to I think health insurance. Medicare I think in my case.
You'll have had a conversation with your manager before the fedex if you were being laid off.

Tuesday, June 16 is 4Q20/FY20 earnings announcement. Would they announce layoffs before this date?
Given that I haven't ordered anything, I'm guessing it is a pretty good indication something is coming.

If it's a day of the week that ends in Y, Oracle is planning layoffs.
This is the desperate mode they are in now after a mass exodus of talent over the last 10 years and products that get more and more mediocre.
I watched them run Solaris into the ground. The most advanced and capable OS ever created, still to this day in a league of its own even as much as linux has evolved... it still can't even step into the same room.
I watched them embarrass themselves with products like the Exalogic and ZFS appliances.
Larry's arrogance and hubris made him miss the cloud boat huge, now they are desperately trying to be relevant with a company full of mediocre people at a time when open source and software-defined storage is EXPLODING.
RIP Oracle. You'll be a penny stock in 15 years.
