You better hope you keep your RTM. If the trucks (which will return for fall) don't get unloaded and processed, there's nothing for the MTM to merchandise other than markdowns. RTM takes care of so many things that really can't be absorbed by others. Don't forget reverse logistics and all the things that have to go OUT, too. Fixture management, all the heavy work, Etc.

In my store, after reopening the RTM is been in charge of visual, merchandisers , logistics, fulfilment ,receiving ,curbside and instore pick up. After 4 weeks since we open , floors are starting to get light , we need directions of a MTM , we need to start thinking about floor moves.Trucks are so little.hopefully next week announcement won't cut that position.

AST is too intricate to do away with in the stores. AYS does not report to AST in every store. Some stores are just too big. like HSQ. AST arrived to HSQ 4 or 5 years after it was in the rest of the stores and only did OPS and the vault. It just combined with the HR department a couple years ago, and that was not a good transition. We, colleagues, miss HR. In a store like Herald Square, there needs to be some HR presence. HSQ has over 3500 employees.

AST is staying in a way, it’s now AST/AYS cash office and more. Every title is changing and welcome to five job titles and not enough resources to get it all done. Stressful, pressure Xmas like environment for every single thing. YAY

Can you explain any further regarding todays announcement? I'm corporate (NYC) under creative. I do work for the online photography. Its hard to tell if you are referring to stores or corporate, clearly I'm on edge & would greatly appreciate if anyone had guidance to help me make sense of what is going on.

As far as I know, the Store manager position will be the only position that really stays the same. Every other management position will be retitled and be a new job.

When you’re doing o my half of your volume... half of your people have to go. It s—s but kinda the way it is. Hoping Jeff gamete takes the appropriate permanent pay cut for his much smaller company

This already sounds like neighborhood sh–. Those cuts would be untenable in many stores. BS as usual to scare gullible sales associates.

Not the OP
Benefits expire June 30th
If you are currently back to work, Monday is June 15th. As with past cuts it was always you worked your last 2 weeks. I’m guessing if your not furloughed and are being cut you will know as soon as next week?

Not guessing, just only heard bits and pieces but I know this will be a drastic store change. I would assume it takes effect before benefits expire.

What are they waiting for? Let us know if we’re being let go so we can move on. This is crazy being in limbo like this.....

It’s accurate. Store mgrs got info today about cuts. Stores lose 30-50% of their leaders. And 30-40% of hourly people. Most leader jobs are now are global. Ops/mtm/visual/ap is one job
