Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Quality Solutions Delivery Layoffs

UHC has developed a heart! They blessed us with a 6 month notice that on 12/31 our jobs are done. I’m feeling overwhelming dedication to them now. Their “choices” show the obvious it’s all I. Who kisses who’s butt, nothing to do with work ethic and productivity.

The dental program is a mess. We will lose a lot of people across the dental spectrum. Remember, we are also entering a period where the unemployment will add to this mess. If you think Mississippi has no teeth, wait till you see what is coming.

Are there any updates in regard to the dental provider health insurance division?
Anyone with information would be helpful.

I've had non stop back to back calls. I'm basically doing the work of 2 or more people. Must be from reduced hours and the covid voluntary time off taking effect. I am beyond fried.

I worked at aetna as an account administrator and the same thing is going on.
I was at the woodland hills california branch. I do not recommend applying there
if they ever hire again in the future. It was the worst experience I have ever had.
I was there a very long time and it got worse each day.
They were in an old facility and moved to this new area in a shared building, but
that didn't make anyone happy.
If you asked a trainer at that facility for help or whatever, you would immediately get yelled at.
This helped create an atmosphere of not asking anything, so mistakes piled on due to this.
I am just warning everyone, just choose another line of work. Do not apply at this facility because
I saw first hand as an account administrator there how bad it was.
Just a notice to you all.

Are all the divisions having a noticeable slowdown now?
I'm just wondering why they would keep people if there is no work.

UHC and many other poorly managed companies have to learn the hard way. Companies like this learn through extreme hardship and chapter 11 may be the only way this company will change their ways and start thinking of the future instead of quarterly results. This is a company that sees -0.03% on the stocks and lay off 300 employees. UHC...know that Ireland and oversea workers will not benefit you in the long run. You may see savings in overhead but that is only short term. If you want to be around for longtime you have to invest in quality employees just like how your employees invest themselves in you.

I saw in another thread that more layoffs are coming 6/20. I’m waiting for UHG to apply for bankruptcy.... it’s just a matter of time the way it’s managed.

It’s a salaried position, you get paid to do a job not hourly. Once those new automated systems that they think will over-read charts, are in place. Those that are left will be shown the door as well. I’m not sure what her highnesses is going to do with all of her friends she made VPs with no staff to manage. We all know they don’t have enough HEDIS knowledge between them to abstract a chart. If Karma is real, executive leadership will show them the door after the CMS submission is completed this week.

And they are not replacing any of the positions. I feel for those left to do the job and those doing rate max getting paid for 8 hours and working 12.

I agree with you about devoting time to your own business. You spend years on a job, because that used to be the norm, and now you're dodging layoffs every month. I have a business, I just need to devote myself to making it work and being self sufficient for me.

I agree, I got the news that my position was eliminated. They did give me a 6 month notice, but I feel like many years are wasted. My advice, time to start our own buisness and be self sufficient. I dont think I can give another company 8-10 years of being loyal, just to get the boot. That's my 1cent. I need to save the other penny.
