Apparently word has it that Macy*s in Commack will not reopen due to lease running out this month and the fact that the inventory has been moved to other stores please let me know if this true or not

It's not possibly. They're done. Landlord is holding them to their closing date. Liquidation for 2 weeks would've made absolutely no sense.
Yes, it's true. The store will be closed permanently on June 30th.
