It’s no longer Fired Friday’s, it’s now Throwaway Thursday’s.
No way. Xerox stopped laying off people on Fridays years ago. They're too afraid you'll go home and commit s–c-de if you have the whole weekend to think about it. More likely to happen on a Monday. Though my boss was laid off on a Thursday.
