Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Just wondering when enough is enough?

Well we ended up with a huge derailment that caught fire just a day ago in Wyoming, two weeks ago there was a derailment in Little Rock Arkansas, three weeks ago there was a derailment in North Portland, and in April they had a derailment in Shreveport Louisiana. And that’s just to list a few of the derailments this year. When are they going to realize that proper maintenance all around will avoid all these issues and save the company that money they are so desperate to give to the “hard working” shareholders. At some point the FRA and NTSB will need to step in and correct this ever worsening situation. Derailments are on the rise and it’s the employees fault according to the StaightUP article they wrote about derailments being on the rise. Wonder just how big of a derailment or environmental impact will have to happen for the glass palace tenants to be held accountable for the destruction they’re responsible for after changing length of trains to cut cost and maximize profits?

You will never ever get your locals or chairman to strike!!!! They are only worried about themselves. The only reason they even blink at us is for dues. One man crews and contract maintenance is the future. It s—s but the whole strike thought should of been in the works right before PSR. Way too late now.

The fra are owned by UP. Corporate corruption at it’s best! Right before the holiday peak. The FRA was all over the system. But once peak came around. They packed their bags and went on vacation. Guess what the outcome was? Another perfect peak season. All smoke and mirrors. All lies.

And don’t forget the id–ts that think it would accomplish something.

There is about 10 derailments a day. It has always been like this, even prior to PSR. You just don’t hear about them unless you have access to RMCC reports or they have something cool happen (like a massive fire) that will get national media coverage.
