Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Cameron S. Was just hired by Omnitrax.

Talk about a fall from grace! How embarrassing for him! One would think he would have been let go with a pile of cash therefore never needing to work again. He probably used to make fun of people that worked at short lines. I noticed all the rejects end up at short lines. Good day.

Mr. Cameron Scott was a great boss and mentor to many of us. Like Mr. Koraleski and Mr. Young, they believed in our employees and in operating the best railroad in North America. As said here already, Mr. Scott fought against PSR and the railroad's direction. OmniTrax has done well be seeking his counsel on the Board and now in a permanent position. Lots of Class 1 guys and gals go into Shortlines - and companies like OmniTrax, G&W, and Patriot Rail have diverse holdings (ports, transloading, terminal switching, etc.). They provide many of the good benefits without all the headaches and are more stable as the economic winds shift. As the economy recovers, it is a good place for ex-UP employees to seek - all crafts and management. Please, do not knock it until you have tried it.

Cameron Scott has always been against PSR. He saw thorough it from the beginning, and he did his best to keep it out of UP. He is well aware that it has nothing to do with railroading and everything to do with hedge fund management. This is a loss for UP and big gain for Omnitrax. You can say all the rude and negative things you like, but Cameron was and is on your side, and he fought hard for us. It is very sad that his efforts were not enough.

This is so exciting. All the people fired from UP have their own short line.

He's been on their Board for nearly two years, and yes he brought her on board as VP of Operations.

I hope he sends as much business as possible to the BNSF instead of UP.

Yes everyone could tell that statement they gave about him retiring for health reasons and to spend time with family was bs. He was the fall guy for Lance
