Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

You can't be this naive

Are people really that naive to believe we'll have no layoffs any time soon? Did you not see the state of the economy? Did you not notice everything that's been going on around you for the past several months?

Do you really think we'll be the only ones to come out of this with minimal losses? Because we are what, special? Are you kidding me?

Agree. The bank does not care. They WILL be laying off beginning of 2021.

we won’t be laying off because we will just not renew contracts for all these contractors from vendors we are bringing in, at least in Home Loans doesn’t seem leadership thinks this problem will last long, otherwise why not hire actual employees

Life away from BOA is the BEST - when you are in it, it can be impossible to understand the full impact that place is having on your life. Away from it is FANTASTIC.

Look at some of the replies in other threads, there are tons of corporate sheep thinking their leaders are there for them

Agreed. If your are smart you have at least 6 months to get your life in order and prepare for the worst. that's what I'm doing. I paid off my mortgage last month, and working on my savings goals. I'll probably open up a new HELOC while i'm still employed. Cant get one of those when you're unemployed.
