Just noticed in fleet notes hertz is starting to have to get ride of cars in August, so far I’ve seen 150k in August and 150k in September. I’m sure that just the start of it

April-Aug is historically when Hertz takes on the bulk of their new car adds for the summer peak season. Instead they are looking to eliminate over 200,000 cars from their fleet by Q4. So now the mad push to get rid of the cars. OEMS's are combatting the expected flood of 2019 cars with huge deals on new cars. Financing is at 0% for 84 months. So why buy used when you can buy new for the same price. Values for 2019 are dropping fast hertz better get what they can now before prices tank.
Expect at least 40% reduction in fleet. And car to age at least 3 years or 65k miles before liquidating.
