HLE managers are the doers since their teams are so small they don't have many options to delegate. AP managers are more of a delegator role making sure everyone on their teams are executing. Both roles are very different as their objectives are different. At the end both roles s— and both have to deal with irate customers when we don't have their cars, deal with your pain in the a– vp and usually at the bottom of the pack where sh– flows down to.

Branch mgr do not handle same amt fleet not even close. Major airport may have 10,000 car fleet and way more employee issues. Plus still have supply cars to HLEs as well. Not mention 24 HR operation vs most HLE closed by 6. Off AP fleet maybe 100 to 250.

I made my career at HLE and branch mgr isn't doing more then airport gm.

if A branch manager didn’t handle fleet and employee issues they wouldn’t be a branch manager. Branch managers do more than airport GMs.

Two different things

The biggest difference an airport mgr more traditional mgr. Has an operation and handles fleet, sales, employee issues, etc

Branch mgr it closer to sales mgr. Attracting business, focus way more on sales side.

I think hle branch mgr could be entry mgr at airport but couldn't walk into general mgr role. I think general mgr would get frustrated bc lack resources and outside selling.
