This is devastating coming from 10+ year ESU employee - being laid off in a pandemic is not what I expected from Allstate, it’s sad, emotions are all over the place, and work does not feel safe or a place of trust anymore. Take it one day at a time colleagues- this is a hard time I am sure a majority of us feel.

It is important to take care of your mental, emotional, and financial well-being. Keep in mind what’s happening at Allstate is a part of a much larger picture. Expect there to be an increasing number of angry, hopeless, and desperate unemployed folks running loose over the next six months to a year. We all know what behaviors people in such a state can and sadly often do resort to. Agitation from the elites manufacturing pandemics, cherry picking video clips to fan the flames of racial division, mass layoffs, and whatever else is to come could ultimately culminate in a very bad situation for all of we don’t try to look past our differences, come together, and unite as one. Only then can we secure the best possible outcome for all and shine a light in the darkness that’s been cast upon our once great nation. Know who you can trust and who you can count on to have your back ahead of time. Be prepared to protect yourself and your loved ones if worst comes to worst. Be strong everyone. Your ancestors went through similar tough times. They were strong enough to make it through and so can you. Know that you’re not alone. Far from it. Godspeed to all.
