Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Another round of demotions to the executives is coming in September just in time for Labor Day weekend.

How many do you think will get fired or demoted this time? They’re not getting the results they want, so they’re going to keep demoting and promoting until they find the right people.

Maybe the time has come to cut the field managers by 100% and let the working employees who actually know what they are doing run the show for a while. It couldn't be any worse than it is now,

I never understood why UP had so much redundancy in management. UP has three (sometimes more) managers from the field to junior executive levels doing between them what one manager usually does in companies of comparable size and market cap. It's about time they thinned the herd.

UP has: managers, senior managers, superintendents, directors, AVP (DaFuq does this mean?), VP, SVP,....It's a welfare program, not a management chain.

They'll never get the results they wanted! I think its really safe to say that EVERYONE already knew that from the beginning. When this train wreck of a business model finally stops piling up, you'll have managers from every location doing what they do best. They'll be pointing fingers, d–g testing everybody, and coming up with even more stupid ideas.
