Yesterday, my friends working at the Oracle China Support Center heard that they were laid off.
I haven't seen the official announcement yet, but what's happening with Oracle?

Yes. confirmed. over 100 people in Dalian China support center are laid off. They got HR paper yesterday and today. The deadline of leave should be 31st. July.
The RIF that is mentioned in the other thread is happening, going country by country. Happened in China And Taiwan today. They have already let go staff in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong last week. India was in March.
Many are being RIF, while hiring is going on in other LOBs.
I've only heard rumors so far, but it doesn't sound good for the Dalian team. I hope this isn't true.
