As a caveat I have not applied nor do I believe either of these MIT or Rice comp-sci/business programs would be a good fit for my analog mind, but I feel I need to voice that upper management keeps missing mark on restructurings, agile, and "nextGen" processes because there is a major error of ego that they know what is best. There's not debate on this: these MIT and RIce programs exist in part as an admission by upper management that they don't really know what the hell they are doing. Need to understand motive? Follow the dollars. On top of this, they are sending these young, talented minds to learn new everything, yet they still feel they are the stewards of transformation? Not to mention the glaring ridiculousness of this over-injection of Simon Sinek? Upper management just picked a voice they jive the best with cuz he thinks like a boomer and then they jammed all his stuff down pipeline. Get out of the way of yourselves.
