Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Back to 5 days

I don’t mind working but one min this is super dangerous life threatening close all stores min contact with customers to 5 day work week. So I guess Sr. Leadership stays home because their life is more valuable than ours!

Should have used that time off to develope a professional skill. oh boohoo you have to work 5 days a week again, just like everyone else during this fake virus. Cry more retail drones.

Next week we open with 1 GM,2 Sms and 8 reps open 10-5 and closed Sundays and we haven't been open in 5 months. So people think we'll never open again, the stores in strip mall are all open since May Except for restaurants. So we have many days with 7 reps ,3 mgrs ? Do you think we will be that busy? No @

I’m sure that by august 1st we will see more relaxing of safety guidelines. In Verizon’s defense, this is just how our country is going. Closing our eyes and hoping it all just goes away.

@1lwo+167Jcomv Okay lets break this down. They would rather us be in the store 8 hours a day 5 days a week doing nothing most the day instead of us doing that for only 3 days a week. The people making these decisions are at home. Are they just upset that we were getting paid for 40 hours a week while being at home some of the time? I am not sure. Here's an example at my location we have about 8 to 9 people per day working. We can only have 10 people in the store at a time. So even if we want to help people the more people working at our store limits the amount of customers that we can help. How stupid is that?

Agreed, at least put us back to 3 days a week. No point of just standing around the store 8 hours a day.

Yeah covid deniers abound. “Leadership” don’t care about us. Up to speed is a joke...again. Only news for sr leadership to feel good. They don’t care about us.

Turns out COVID-19 has a case fatality rate of 0.04% and an average age of mortality of 78 with over 1% of people infected. If people reported on the flu and traffic accidents like they did on COVID, no one would ever go out. Are hospitals overloaded? Yeah, but it's not as if this is the Spanish flu where 100 million died. Over. Blown.
