Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Great....what else is "new"

So Store's incentives are coming back and People Leaders are now having to write "Goals" for their 2020 reviews in February... How about trying to keep your employees motivated, stop giving bonuses to the Upityups, keeping your employees safe and send new merchandise to the stores!!!??? Geez!

Instead of trying to put more pressure on employees with unachievable goal and expectation why can’t they show more consideration to our physical and mental strain we have to endure every working day.

Yes, I too believe that A LOT of key players that could have made a change wrre let go. AND the ones that were kept in higher positions are still in the same mind set as if there was no pandemic going on...so ridiculous. Storeline workers are doing the best they can....just feel like their leaders in corporate have no clue.

Reading all this after getting the boot. I’m glad I’m not left in these burning hot stores working to death with no help. The funny part it’s only gonna get worse not better and Always remember that

LOL... I’m one of these people who’s going to have to come up with “goals” 🙄 LOL, reeeally?
I seriously don’t look at my current situation as a career... it’s just a job. The company is tanking, we’re being robbed blind by shoplifters, merchandise is Last Act. I really feel from all the outstanding people that were let go that we’re just a number on a spread sheet... I’m positive there were key people in the organization that honestly could’ve HELPED turn this mess around but we’re let go. Currently my goal is to just BS my way through long enough to be able to get severance when they close my store! However I probably shouldn’t put that down in writing... They might frown upon that...

Walked into a store and yes, it is dismal. Employees look like they are on their last leg, no merchandise ( well, nothing I would want) and the temperature of the store was unbearable. I feel really bad for the store line workers.
