That letter was sent yesterday to all class 1's yesterday regarding the deterioration of service and lack of crews. The only problem I had with it was the FRA person who signed it! That's why I'm sure nothing will happen. He's been known recently for dismissing issues raised by PSR.

I think the railroads merged with the FRA about 4 yrs ago so don’t expect anything from the FRA to improve safety it’s now the same entity as the US railroads. This is obvious. Please nobody get your hopes up nothing will improve until another agency gets involved.
I think you misread the post a bit. Yes its a public letter, but who signed it is the one in question. Go back to May or June of last year and watch the congressional hearing with the head of the FRA. Come back and tell us what you think of him? Go ahead, we'll wait
The letters are public. Read them yourself. They’re not bad as you are making it sound.
They won’t even blink but will beat up folks more for attendance
Sounds like someone might be sending out these letters as a way to cover ones butt for when it starts rolling down hill.
