Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Questions

Does anyone really ever have their pre-submitted questions answered in these town hall meetings? I’m wondering if they just answer their own good sounding questions and pass it off as ours. It always seems like their reading their “answers”.

Welcome to the Grand Illusion of the NEW AIC! They think we are not smart enough to know we are getting snowed. They are trying to be perceived as transparent to employees and be engaged with diversity.
Everything thing is scripted and disingenuous. Let's face it... it's ALL about the money 💰! Trying to cut so we can charge lower premiums to be competitive. They should start cutting all the overpaid top heavy executives that don't contribute to the bottom line and put the money into overhaul NEXT GEN and remove the handcuffs on claims adjusters so we can adjust and close claims without internal hoops to jump. Why would we invest in INDIA when our own USA citizens need jobs? Actions speak louder than the lip service!

As a former RCL, I can tell you at all town hall meetings with a Q & A session the questions are planted and known to the person ahead of time. I was literally told what questions should be asked and who to give the questions to from my office. So glad I left on my own 3 years ago.

Corporate Relations and Human Resources decide Questions in advance and feed the big shots the answers. It’s very rare that an unplanned question will be addressed. Same thing when and if they take audience questions. I was a “plant” on multiple occasions.

They are absolutely reading a script. No one asked about severance they’ve covered that same question in every meeting we’ve had. Nice try home office.

Thanks for absolutely no answers to relevant questions. They are never going to be transparent.

Obviously they are aware of probable questions people will ask and have some canned answers.

I asked “in we win together” since so many people are losing their jobs, are you forfeiting youre bonus this year or giving remaining employees merit increases?

I also asked living in transparency.. why are we having mass layoffs in the states, but mass hiring in India.

I’m sure neither will be touched on
