Thread regarding California Resources Corporation layoffs

The constant reorgs are atrocious

The last one, which absolved asset teams and dispersed everybody's responsibility, was so poorly planned and communicated that a whole 10 months later there is still confusion as to who is supposed to be doing what. Now, we have more layoffs. Guess how many Vice Presidents and upper management, the ones leading this company as it went belly up, got let go? If you guessed zero, you know how it works around here. It will be business as usual going forward at CRC. Remember, the goal isn't for the company to succeed, it's for the guys at the top to get paid.

Couldn't agree more, @3dpp+16xINDyl. This deserves its own thread.

Did you ever think this may not be a good company to work for.

I just watched the video of 40 under 40, that CF, former VP, reminded me of the Theranos lady, faking deep voice and opening her eyes like crazy.

The re-orgs are unfortunately necessary. Management has to show Wall Street and the Board they are doing something. They can't run a company properly. So getting rid of some folks looks like a good option.

They need to lay-off from the CEO down to Vice Presidents. They forced all the experienced people out 2 years ago that were making the right decisions and paying off the debt. They got in the way of some peoples power agenda
