Seems like most of the layoffs recently have come in the OCI area or more on-premises products. From what I've heard, the SaaS/Applications side has been doing very well. Can anyone let me know if there have been a lot of layoffs recently to the applications side?

commerce and cpq had significant lay-offs in july/august of this year. commerce rumored not to be doing so well
I'm in Applications (Fusion Apps) and we've been hit by layoffs about every 6 months for the last 3 years at least. Not huge ones. This set of layoffs in Aug/Sept was relatively hard on Applications.
Cloud Apps and OCI are completely different.
@1ykz+16FZ9oA0 OCI is different than Oracle Cloud Apps, isn't it? Oracle's own website shows that they are different things...
Don’t you know, it is not how much it sells, it is how much it is consumed.
OCI is not remotely close to being profitable. It never will be. It's a fool's errand. Expect many more layoffs at OCI as the senior leadership tries to cut their way to on-paper profits to fuel a stock price pump.
Last June I know about at 2 members of the support team OCI.
As far I can remember 2017 many have been laid-off.
By the way, a department can be profitable, yet it could experience lay-off.

When was the last time that Oracle Cloud Applications were hit by layoffs?
Way, way too long ago! It’s time.
Layoffs are happening all over... cloud saas, ebs, tech and many others..even in support teams. few teams are completely gone. Not sure what's going on and definitely its not a good sign.
