I don’t think I’ve ever worked at a sh–tier place. I got a new manager in February and lost the best manager I’ve ever had. To be honest, I think my new manager is completely incompetent. She has no idea what she is doing. She does not care about us (our team). She pins the blame on other people for her mistakes (which I’m seeing as a common thing so people can keep their jobs). She does nothing to make me feel valued. I gave her the worst possible review on the culture plus survey. There’s a mutiny forming in our office, and it’s going to come out at some point during peak. I’m still p-ss-d that I got PTO days taken away because I was furloughed. I didn’t ask to be furloughed! Then JP tells us on a TA call that sacrifices had to be made for the company. What has this company ever done for me? NOT A DAMN THING! But we give the top level execs a $9 million bonus for failing this company. I also honestly believe I will be let go in February. Some of the role has been reassigned to another department. This new Taleo seems like it’s going to replace me. Sorry for such a long complaint but I only have a few people to talk to about this. No worries. Herr performance IS EXACTLY what sr. management wants. She will undoubtedly be promoted to her next level of incompetence and you will be free of her.
All Macy’s sales managers are completely useless. I never see one actually work and I worked at two Macy’s stores. All they do is walk around pretending to do something. Meanwhile the stock rooms are a fire hazard disaster let alone you can’t find anything in it. I watched 5 “ managers” work my dept. not one of them took the time to learn how the dept works or even went to another store to be trained. It was like watching these id–ts beat their head against the wall over and over expecting a new result. Needless to say all 5 of them left (fired /quit) so Macy’s has no leaders. Only store walking bums !
Macy's.... perhaps MANAGEMENT needs to be set higher standards. This company has been tanking because of poor , no skills, no common sense, let me pick who I choose type of attitude! Top of it all they sit in their asses in the office all day long (pretending to do work lol) just avoid customer complaints! I know I see it everyday!
Macy’s is in the toilet because of poor management for years now. Since 2011 is has been tanking. No one else to blame.

I agree with above poster. Macy’s loves the dip sh– , sack of potatoes, lack luster do nothing manager. She will be store manager soon and don’t bust your a– for this dying company. It’s over and will only get much worse
