Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Retirement of Allstate’s Chief Legal Officer

Our Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel has decided to retire. She could had been planning this retirement long before this mess, but the timing makes one wonder. I know I definitely wouldn’t want to be General Counsel of Allstate right now.

Only an old timer will know to look to the end of September for the interest rate. That's what I'm waiting for.

I wouldn’t announce a retirement until the pension figures come out next month.. but I guess people that high up don’t really need to worry about their pensions

There's usually a group of people that retire from corporations every year. This year is no different in that respect. A certain percentage of the employee base reaches retirement age and retires.

Um yeah the timing was well thought out she sold her stocks months ago and is getting out before the s&it hits the fan regarding layoffs. Her successor is a minority which was well played by Allstate, yet long overdue. Take a look at the officers of Allstate and start there with diverse representation, like your workforce TW!
