Well, the Labor Day weekend has come. What happens on Tuesday and Thursday when the labor is done?
Why is it Product Planning doesn't interact with customer base? If you have engineering determine wiz-bang new products and the customers don't what them, is that a "sales problem".

Not in Australia!
I have been through two redundancies, 1 with Peoplesoft where Oracle Acquired them. A year later Oracle came knocking and offered me a job. I have been hanging out for redundancy (13 years) and my wishes came true. I don't hold any hard feeling towards Oracle they are a business after all. And fully understanding why they needed to get rid of people at this time.
Anyway, I finished yesterday and start a new contractor gig today... so all is good:)

I think you're the biggest loser history has ever known.
What will it bring?
The answer to this is easy to infer. Try to stay with me here.
- Oracle’s business is not improving
- if the business is not improving then it is staying the same or getting worse
- lots of deadwood remains (think marketing, sales and engineering of non revenue producing products, like all of the cloud services in the tech org)
- poor Q1 results resulted in massive layoffs, so poor Q2 results will result in the same
Net/Net - anyone who is still hoping they won’t be hit needs to invest that worry and stress in getting out - like everyone else with half a brain started doing several years ago when it was obvious that the wheels were starting to come off.
