“ looking forward to the RIF”
I’m sure you will enjoy it ...
If true then looking forward to the RIF, or better yet the elimination of OD altogether. Like someone said earlier, OD = losers ref: Glenngary
This isn’t rocket science folks.
- Fact: Oracle is in cost cutting mode.
- Fact: 80 to 90% of Oracle revenue comes comes from a very small fraction of its top enterprise/named accounts, I.e., accounts where OD has little or no role. Those accounts are where Oracle’s actual value lies.
- Fact: OD is not a “value add”, it is more of a value subtract. This is well known across the company. NOBODY believes that the few new sc-aps scrounged by OD make any real difference
- Fact: The word is that SF, Frisco, Boston, all facing significant cuts. This is a simple cost/benefit calculation
Obviously, most OD SRs will prefer “playing ostrich” and will continue to go whistling past the graveyard. Just don’t act surprised and come crying back here when the axe falls.
Sounds like serendipity
Hey OP, are you the same person who posted the BDC thread?
Also, are you basing a layoff prediction on 2-3 comments? LOL.
It’s all about “shareholder value”. LOL
whether this is the case or not, because of the high levels of job satisfaction across the board at Oracle, OD reps are unaffected by this kind of thing, same as with all other mission critical employees within the org
Yep. Between yesterday’s actions and this the execs are obviously focused on increasing shareholder value.
