I heard thru a sales friend that XCM DocuShare is down to a few software engineers. Sounds more like gearing up (or down) for support and minor maintenance rather than continuing product development. I thought DocuShare was going to be the savior of Xerox as a tech powerhouse.

More like DocuC-ap
Docushare certainly not in my top right quadrant from a product perspective but could be worse. ricoh (xerox wannabes) “digital transformation” engagements are simply horrid!
@3exi+16KvYd7H ... yes obviously. Xerox or XBS supporting the software they sell?! Ha, no. It’s a joke. The whole place is a joke.
@2wec+16KvYd7H: You’re joking right?
Docushare - Best product on the market. You can't judge software on just functionality, you need the number one service and best rated support that Xerox provides.
It is so useful that we use it at Xerox for all of our documents and process management. Nothing like eating your own dog food! YUM!
Its great for any department - Working from home and not able to remind your manager at the coffee maker to approve your expense report? No problem: Docushare.
Need to get some information back to a customer in a timely manner? No problem: Docushare.
Need special pricing or compensation approved? No problem: Docushare.
Important customer that you are trying to upgrade ran out of toner on a Friday afternoon? No problem: Docushare.
Everything you need at a click of a button.
And if that sounds good check out Docushare Flex - the perfect solution for those that want to make a purchase they will later regret but have a smaller budget to work with. Same product - just works a little worst then the original!
Does anyone know if these new versions run over Copstalk or Banyan Vines?
We are talking about the tech powerhouse called Xerox, right?
The on premise version (called Suite now) is still sort of worthwhile if you have an admin that knows what they are doing; the cloud version (Flex) is just awful. Its a very watered down version with little useful functionality. And what I have seen so far, Mother X is not very good at supporting it (either version)
Docushare is absolutely awful.
It was part of the "technology powerhouse" BS he was spewing in the beginning. We had no other "technology" to speak of, so that's all he could use as an example.
I never understood why JV was so excited to push DocuShare. It was an interesting product, but there are so many other similar things that are better integrated with other products, I don't see that there is much of a market for it.
DocuShare was great.
Until SharePoint came along.
Ever use DocuShare? It isn’t exactly SharePoint or even Documentum, now is it?
So many chicken s..t competitors on here digging for dirt. Sell your product and service! Mud slinging all you got?
It's one chapter in the EC smoke and mirrors fairy tale.
