You will not get holidays, only vacation. It's a 7 day waiting period from when they receive your signed agreement. Then it's the next pay date (same as everyone) after that you will get severance pay.

Even if you could get the 300$ extra it’s unlikely. It’s backdated to August 1 and there is only 3 ,weeks of funding which is now held up Not all states have applied

Any chance to screw you and they will do it. Later, they will say it was a mistake. Funny how I was specifically told "this layoff is NOT Covid related ", so they can keep us from getting any extra money. However. BBB corporate press releases attribute this layoff to COVID! Tritton is a sneaky one. Hire attorney and do all of 8s a favor and start class action here

All these people lost their 401k match since they didn’t make it the whole year

My understanding is personal days are not being paid if unused. Just vacation time accrued up to your last day of employment and holidays. You might have days left to use by the end of the year if still employed - but those days are not yet accrued so will not be paid - last week was week 35 I believe of the year so you only have accrued 67% of your total vacation days as of last week. ( if you had 10 days to use this year - you have accrued 6.7 of them. If you already used them you don’t have days remaining. If you have not used up to 6.7 days the remainder will be paid).
Holidays accrued are being paid as well - which means there have been 3 so far this year - if you’ve already used all 3 there are none remaining to be paid out.

Hours and pay have nothing to do with at-will employment. You are an at-will employee. Nice try.

My real question is whether or not I was a contract employee or an at will employee. I had to sign an agreement when my pay was converted from salary to hourly. I was guaranteed to work 50 hours per week for a sett amount of pay. As far as I am concerned, that was a binding agreement that I was told by my District Manager this would be the case unless I stepped down or left the company. Sounds like a binding contract of employment to me.

Had the same thing happen to me. I have yet to receive any paperwork concerning the severance agreement.

I fully expected mine to be wrong this morning with all the issues I have had in the past, but it was correct. Read your packet carefully. It has a calendar with when severance will be paid and how, based on when the packet was received by corporate. Earliest date 9/17, but can be delayed all the way until mid October if the packet is not received timely. If you have direct deposit setup, it is supposed to be direct deposit like a paycheck in one lump sum. Also, make sure you file and/or extend your unemployment (from furlough). Some states are giving extra money from the federal government through 12/26. Im sure BBB has to pay more for this if we get it, so make sure to claim it! Good luck everyone! It’s tough to find a job right now...Ive been trying vigorously since they “restructured” last Tuesday. But I am eternally optimistic. :)

HR will just turnaround and blame payroll. This happened to me as well . I threatened a lawsuit since I did sign their package. I received a check the next pay period with just my vacation . They can't even follow their on instructions. Glad I am out and happily working elsewhere. Good luck all !!

And no, severance is coming as a direct deposit unless you receive a paper paycheck.

I'm not talking about severance. It clearly stated in our separation packet that all vacation pay and personal pay would be payed out in our last paycheck. Severance check is totally separate.

Severance-related funds are typically paid separately from regular pay. In addition, if you get your regular pay as an auto-deposit, severance may come as a check in the mail. Call HR.
