Shouldn’t be a surprise but rumor is Whiting hired outside help for layoffs again.

Sounds like this “rumor” was spot on.
I haven’t heard if the layoffs are true or rumors. Might just be from the board members and upper level guys. I am sure there is other stuff coming. I wouldn’t want to be sitting waiting for the call, especially when ya know it’s coming. We didn’t have a clue, got blind sided after being told it was good and Mr. lying a–hole fired us anyway
Has anyone gone to a lawyer after a layoff and gotten more severance out of Whiting?
I'm not a fan of lawyers, but if I have the chance to make Whiting pay more, wouldn't mind it.
That’s interesting, what s—s is we were in such a panic situation didn’t know what to do. I know I never even checked mine to see . To late to matter , but they figured everyone is going to sign it so what the he’ll right. Just another proof of how crooked they were. In hindsight it was a blessing. Jobs are tougher to get than they were before.
Warning to anyone who gets a severance package from these clowns. I know of more than one person during the last round of layoffs who’s severance calculations were incorrect. Do not sign anything until you have verified that the number they say your getting is correct. Once you sign the paperwork, you give up all your rights to get it corrected.
Curiously, all of the incorrect calculations were in the company’s favor by many many thousands of dollars. Probably just a coincidence...
Is anyone really surprised at this. After all the previous layoffs if you didn’t plan and have your stuff ready then you are blind. The only thing will be how much they think you deserve now. With Holly s—ing up all the funds not much left I’m sure. Good luck to all the ones that got cut, sorry to see it have some good friends there still.
They hired outside help. Typical.
A lot of their layoff decisions seem to not make sense. 'Outside help' explains a lot.
People who only know us 'on paper' have a lot of input.
Sad.
