If we get a severance letter... don't sign

If you're presented a severance agreement, it may be worth calling in legal counsel to review its terms, and remember that you don't have to respond to it right away. Under the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act, employees over 40 must be given 21 days to consider the offer; after signing, they have seven days to change their decision. If you and at least one other person are laid off in a group termination, you'll have 45 days to consider a severance offer, regardless of age.

I know of 30 let go today at Busch Gardens Tampa. I was one of them after 20 years. Morgan and Morgan said they would review the letter for free. Only charge if there is a settlement

Of course its true they have been hiring new people at less pay for the last 4 weeks now. Thats what should be against the law. They should have to bring back before they hire. But remember the company and its leadership not the first time this guy has screwed over people for the all mighty dollar.

You know this is not factual right? The country is in a pandemic and this is standard for corporate America. Don’t sign and you waive any offered compensation. Tread lightly
