Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Have fun tomorrow

I know our executives Hans, Ronan, KB etc will enjoy staying home so (BAU) as we work on Sunday and expand our hours because hey we have money to toss around because we are so busy that last hour. If not oh well looks time for cuts again. You better believe those executives won’t take a pay cut because of their decisions.

A follow-up on the expanded hours at my location from Tuesday thru Thursday night. Yes it has become safer! Very little traffic from 6 pm to 8 pm. The mega mall down the street closes at 7 and the strip mall we are located in ,all the stores close at 6. So we have been very slow! Not much team sales going on, just team waiting for 8 pm to arrive! So another miscalculation by retail mgmt and the ti.ing is way off! Every September after labor day, except for week ends, we slow down dramatically during the week days .so we should have expanded hours in November for the holidays. Also, we only have 2 to 3 reps on closing shifts so if it becomes live same volume as pre pandemic we are in trouble!

If you applied to be a Retail rep, you agreed to work holidays and weekends. Next question?

Reps don’t take safety seriously...why should management keep doing it for them?

The crowding and the non 6foot distancing was happening all day on Saturday and there was a SM working with a family not at a plexiglass station ; he was actually helping them on an accessory display? So I can see the safety protocol has been thrown out the window. By the way , the sign at the door is useless , people just walk in because the SMS cannot multi-task and have forgotten about the door. With that said, I believe the expanded hours will make the store a little safer because our DM told the Gms last week that starting this week that anyone walking up (non sales) will have too make an appointment and sales will have to wait outside and not to deviate from this plan because there might be only 2 to 3 reps opening or closing thus the store capacity would be 5 or 7 people (including the SM) So managers have to control the door more effectively again. All this going on with that survey over our heads and its not a healthy environment and has become so stressful. So the managers will have step up and control the store crowding situation. Im sorry to say im not confident they can do it! Lastly, I'm taking pictures everyday on whats happening in my store By the way the reps are no help for their own safety (no 6 ft distancing what so ever! It only takes 1 asymptomatic person , and that is were the real problems will begin!

My store is in a "stay at home" order. This is a new rounds of shut downs. We have been told business as usual, even though the order outlines what essential transactions are. Verizon has the arrogance to say they are essential as a Telecom company. at the same time when our local government is telling people to stay home Verizon is expanding hours. The shopping center my store is in has a few other eateries open and our traffic is way down understandably as it's technically illegal for people to be out. Guess what also no quarter relief. They don't give a sh– about your health and safety especially Krista.
