After the bubble burst is it back to India?

I'm based out of SF on a Visa. I have a very strong feeling that this the tech bubble is about to burst, it seems to be happening now. I don't see much in the way of growth for the company over the course of the next 5-10 years. Many people are now calling the company evil and the business model seems to be under attack and regulators are flying overhead. Even i use duckduckgo, that's a sign. I've been talking to a few other people and we're thinking of going back to India and starting a firm. My life was way better in India, family, friends, i had a great home.. I've lived here for the last 3 years working 80 hour week and it has been downright misrable with the Virus lockdown. I think this place is doomed and i should leave, what are your thoughts?

If life was way better in India why is this even a question?. Assuming you are an adult, I would do what you are happy with.

Hopefully people working for US companies in the US on some form of visa understands they are strictly tools used by these companies to reduce labor cost, nothing more. You can be used and abused as the company sees fit and have little to no recourse. These companies have had decades to resolve the supposed “tech” labor shortage with US citizens but have done absolutely nothing. Why haven’t they? Because it is way cheaper to just keep importing low skilled, low cost workers with the promise of a better life at some point in the future.

Any country can be rated by the quality of its housing and transportation system. Silicon Valley doesn't score high, just like many other American cities. If the architecture was great, the healthcare was great and the transportation system was great and living wasn't a version of the hunger wars I would stay. But it isn't. So I won't .

I work for Cisco, things are not better either. I think going back to India may be a better idea. Now foreign companies are investing tons of money. More importantly, you have more dignity in India. They have banned all Chinese apps and no one talks about s..t and here even China banned all our apps and we still discuss should ban them or not. Are you kidding me? American companies are full of IYIs now.

India is not heaven for sure, but if you are from decent family who has some opportunities, maybe it's time back.

FYI, i am not saying this to cheat Indians back home. That's why I mentioned if you have good family and some opportunities there.

If you have somewhere else to go, you should. Life will be hard in the States without work. There are a lot of smart people in India who will benefit from your business.

Work smart, don’t work hard. Balance your life with work and non-work related activities. Engage in local culture, eating different cuisine, exercising, music, books and other things.

I think you are full of c-ap. I've had friends from India who were rebadged to another company and their VISA transfers were rejected. These people cried having to go back to India because they built a life here. A better one, according to them. If your life was way better in India, why did you come to the US in the first place?
