Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

Amadeus Layoffs

Amadeus north america (NORAM) sent their reduction plan notice to every employee, since everyone was impacted by 4 decisions: no impact, office closure (relocate), office closure (work remote) or layoff.
HR and VP had 1v1 conversation with each employee this week.
5 offices closed: Gainesville, FL, Tucson, AZ, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA.
Core Amadeus employee (not include Travelclick, Navitaire, etc) laid off 300+ employees (more than 10% of total) and previously all contractors were gone.
Major layoff employees are from R&D, since NORAM is high cost (India and France are cheaper) and major implementations (AC, WN) have been done.
Good luck everyone for travel industry.

Amadeus US layoffs are good for the companies success .The employees laid off must have been underperformers and worst of the lot. Amadeus will come out successful, the employees laid off should move on.

In Australia, Vedaleon Technolgies, an Amadeus Subsidiary laid off junior employees hired in February 2020 while all the old employees with fat packages kept their jobs. they have to show 10% reduction and they managed it by firing junior staff. never knew its so easy to fool Amadeus management.

I can't understand why DS is there or GG are still around with sales in the c-apper for years. All ADs, GMs and AEs should be flushed.

The Sales organization is so bad, that they drag MSM Product Managers down to their level.
Broken that strategic view of Products, it becomes irrelevant what/how stuff is coded.

If SM wanted to fix Sabre he'd get rid of Sales and MSM and re-build.

Remind me again how the toxic and underperforming head of Sales keeps his job? What does he use as leverage to keep his spot? Does he have info on Epstein Island?

Welp, Air France-KLM and Amadeus just announced a major contract. Kind of disputes the garbage sales has been saying about lack of opportunities due to covid-19.

Flush sales and start anew.

Combining AS & TN into one unit was the right thing to do when revenues are down 90%. It will uncover redundancies to identify areas that can be eliminated. Sabre has to be efficient in these days and times in order to survive. Expect layoffs, furloughs, volunteer programs.

Am I the only one feeling that this 2.0 reorg was a change for worse?
