As we inch closer and closer to the date that was chosen for anyone of you to be released. Remember this. God has a plan. Don’t want to get all biblical and all but I see a lot of people hating other departments and “venting” which is both healthy and unhealthy. I don’t like how long they are making us wait but if they waited closer to your release date would you still be happy with that...probably not. If it’s my time it’s my time. Over the years I have learned so much with this company (field level) roustabout, pumper, heavy equipment,CDL,Stim,Completions, production. I’m blessed to say someone took a chance on me many years ago, so if it’s my time, it was sure a fun and exciting ride. As for the rest of you. I pray you find peace and god helps you along your journey. Keep your heads up people. May god bless everyone concerned reading these threads for some comfort and closure.

I have to pose a question on managing an independent oil company where you don't control the price of the goods that you are selling, your finding and lifting costs are expensive, you deplete your resource base unless you replace it annually. I am 3rd generation oil and I have seen these boom and bust cycles since the 1950s. I posed that question to the departed CEO in these modern times can you manage a commodity driven business without the Bust and Boom, just consistent growth. His answer was yes, but it did not happen. There must be a formula GREED x Wall Street 2 = RIF - double match- options- bonus. Maybe the younger generation can figure this out
I appreciate your positive attitude. Good luck good Sir. That being said, there are a lot of people who were in their prime who took a chance on Pioneer! And those are the frustrated ones. Like another poster said on here if you came from other good companies then seeing this cluster id maddening. And as far as time. Shall I rip off the duct tape slowly or quickly. Tell us 2 to 3 weeks prior.
