The severance in the US is based on your grade
8 weeks is one grade and 12 weeks is another grade
I had employees in both grades and the payout follows the grade
It does NOT apply to the position title

@8qnh+16RR5ykV If you are getting 12 weeks you must be management on up??? Techs at Xerox direct get 8 weeks maximum...also what is your location???

Ours is 12 weeks. 32 years ago it was 2 wks per year of service, then 1.5, then 1 and now it's just a straight 12 weeks.

I've been furloughed since may. I moved to another company that pays me more than xerox, I work less hours, and treats me like a human. I decided I'm waiting for Xerox to offer me a severance package though because clearly they won't be calling me back. Even if I just get my vacation paid out and a few weeks pay it will be worth leaving the van parked in my driveway. (doesn't bother me even though the damn thing has a flat now and doesn't start. Not my problem)

Not sure about Europe
I do know Canada was 4 weeks per year until the HCL transition
I know of some that were IRIF’d just before the onslaught of JV and Co.

I do know that some countries in Europe have strong government protection for employees so it’s doubtful anyone will get treated nearly as badly as the US employees.
And to think that the company is a US based company is just beyond a slap in the face for the hard working loyal workers they have been.
It’s a travesty

If your still an active employee then yes, online is the answer. If you are furloughed then no, you have no access to that sort of stuff. Unless it’s on www.xeroxbenefitsweb. com and I myself didn’t find it there. It’s a good ask.....

The info is available to any employee online. This post is BS

Isn't Europe still 3 weeks for every year served, with no top stop? (Assuming it's an IRIF and not a furlough)

In USA it’s pretty much the 8 weeks or 12 as stated depending on your grade (D3 for example)
In either case it’s an insult.
In Canada it’s 3 weeks per year capped at 52 weeks plus all unused or owed vacation time.

And as already stated, furlough is the de facto choice because Xerox doesn’t have to give you a single penny for your 40 years of service
They can just ride the Covid excuse wave right up until you quit.

Xerox - the company of ethics.

Are people at xerox still waiting for that package that will bridge them to retirement? Holy c-ap. I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya all. That ship sailed with the old regime.

Sales people comment is correct.

It's minimum 4.. max of after 10 years: 8 (hourly) 12 (Manager) 12 (VP) 16 (exec). And if you're checking this site.. you're laid off. It's happening tomorrow. Your also the same guy that got pinch hit for in little league and your dad complained. It's business.. it's not that I don't feel bad.. It just needed to be done.

Sales people comment is wrong.

Sales people get nothing. The max 12 weeks is on the delivery Or for people in the field.

Xerox is doing everything they can to avoid paying severance. Unless your upper management They will either move you to HCL or put you on furlough. If your hanging on waiting for a package you will be waiting a long time.

It's 8 weeks for those in the field. Management can get up to 12.

Not at the moment, it’s on hold. If they offered it then they’d have nobody left!

Is Xerox offering VRIF again?

Depends on your job title but it's minimum 4 weeks for most titles and then goes up with years of service at a very slow rate.

I think it's 12 weeks right now. One week for every year of service is gone. One more way Xerox has screwed you over.

For most it is 1 week per year of service, with a max of 12. That does vary a little bit by job, but not much. A far way from the days of 2 weeks, then 1.5 weeks then 1 week with a max of 52 weeks.

That's last I knew. It's possible it's changed since I last researched.
