I’m kin of new but I thought the lady that does the marketing was a manager because everybody calls her to fix all the problems all over the club. I like her and she told me her job was going away and that’s ashame because she works everywhere and knows a lot. I guess I got lucky and got a good one because she trained me and I’m a stocker.
Who cares the members needs to know how the company is. Home Office only cares about the $$$$$ an what benefits them.
Posts like these are exactly why so many consumers and employees look down on Sam's. The members are who pays your salary. Every Sam's is different. They used to all be the same, but now they all fight for king or queen of the sht pile. But one thing that stays the same is that anyone that has to do with bringing in income will cheat and be very deceitful to members, just to get that upgrade or that crp credit. And Costco offered me a job because I worked at Sam's! Sam's even has a deceitful way of doing away with associates...when a business does away with a position at all locations, they are supposed to offer a severance package...but they weasle their way around that.
Good luck getting hired by Costco. If they find out you worked at Sam's club they won't hire you. I've already tried wasn't even giving a interview.
Marketing is gone. As soon as we went to workgroups and block is was eliminated. The people that worked in marketing are able to be grandfathered in but ultimately membership representative, a salaried management position, runs what used to be marketing.
Best word of advice is to apply for another position in club if you’re tired of doing everything.
