Some 436 highly qualified jobs are affected by General Electric Corporation’s precipitous decision to pull the plug on its facility in Switzerland. The jobs will be moved to India, China or Italy or even worse to France and the level of quality will then be lowered to Good Enough!
Lesson learned: Do not trust any statement of GE Management until you see the facts!

I think the salaries of those laid off should be charged as import tax on the same products they will start making in China. That would be fair and hit them exactly where these decisions are made.
