A lot has to do with training. They suffer from an highly acute lack of training. For the on-shore managers and teams who treat the off-shore teams as co-equals and train them sufficiently, performance is equal on-shore of-shore.

Didn’t we jettison that idea 17 years ago after in depth review of customer complaints regarding unsatisfactory responses from India CSRs to issues? I hope never again to read anything approaching the insane responses which were sent to our customers.

Our customers most certainly would still prefer the same level of professionalism and accuracy in problem handling that we all expect when we call our financial institutions.
