Reading people's reviews on a recent WSJ article, it seems that they expected a lot more scathing and deeper analysis of EM and wanted to hear more gibberish about PIP and Layoff. Get over yourself folks as before being PIPed, everyone tolerated the inefficient nonsense and participated in it.
WSJ may have gotten it's lines from the PR machinery of EM to make the article useless, yet, it is one step in the right direction (even if the reporting seem to lack any depth and misses the actual weakness of EM).
News reporting agencies that are smart will eventually pick on EM and someone maybe smart enough to hit the jackpot of reporting a mammoth corporation caving in itself and imploding due to ~15 years of systematic incompetent culture and exuberance of toxic arrogant management.
It will be a big miss for news agencies if EM implodes without anyone reporting it. Some simple steps they can do is to focus on:
Toxic inefficient culture, poor to zero leadership abilities in the entire corporation, lack of courage of conviction from top to bottom employees.
Finances, books and assets evaluated by independent rational investors, its investment and future cash flows in a less transportation environment
Big bluffs through Corporate Strategic Research (the low hanging fruit is EM CSR claiming as PR that it does scientific research in clean energy area while all they have done is to throw some of the investors money and associated their name with other people who are trying random things)
Tantrums of CEO in lowly Town Hall meetings in front of employees and getting away with it as the culture is of dictatorship
