Can confirm that over 50 not a factor. Otherwise, there would have been different team members let go from our team.

was laid off from Dell last year after 22 years and great performance results, 4 years in a row achieved 120% objectives, my only problem i was over 50 and had very high earnings. Landed on my feet and now at a large software company. I always knew Dell was a tough culture but once I started at my new employer I realized what its like to work in a company that really cares about people where you can call or email ANY exec to ask for help without concern and actually get the support you need. I quickly realized there is life after Dell and it can be much better. Hang in there to those affected.

WFR almost always occur on Wednesday, as they did last month with the big sales\account realignment. Core sales and pre-sales took the brunt of most of those layoffs last month, so I would be surprised if they took another hit in Q4 (unless we are talking Specialty sales\pre-sales, which I don't think had hardly any cuts, if any, last month)
Yeah, they normally let folks go on a Wednesday. When mine happened, my manager rescheduled our normal one on one which was always on a Thursday, to Wednesday at 9 am. Trust no one in this company they are all two faced back stabbing bast*ds.
