Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

How is it done? Call? Conference with HR?

Do you know how does the actual act of communicating that you've been laid off happen?

What do they tell you?

How long does it take?

What do they tell you?

Thank you?

Its a 15 minute zoom call that lasts 3 minutes they don't answer any questions just tell you the package that was overnighted will tell you about the info you need to know.

HR is only there to minimize liability for Raymond James. The HR department is not there for conflict resolution in general. For RJ this is particularly the case. An HR complaint made today could make you the target for termination in the future. Keep this in mind.

I will tell you the horrible management style at Raymond James is widespread. Just like any company there are good and bad employees. Much of the senior leadership and mid-level management is no exception. However, there are many more horrible people with this company than the employee’s that have a conscious and ethics.

The leadership at Raymond James today is more about “me” and “mine”. A respect for the people that make the company work is gone. It died when much of the values did along with the previous leadership retiring.

I can speak from experience with this information as I worked in many different areas in the company. This was from mid-level positions to higher ones with more exposure and political battles.

It is a challenging time in the world right now, but I will tell you to start looking for another job. When the ship at Raymond James starts to go down, they will ensure everyone goes with it. The people at the top will not sacrifice their earnings to help those less fortunate.

When the balance sheet is totaled at some point there will be layoffs to ensure leadership gets what they want. Get what you can from this company and move on.
