In the finance community we used $135k/head as the fully loaded value.

Sales were at 100k, not anymore.

It costs roughly 72 to pay someone 50.

100K fully loaded as an average has been a
consistent bellwether for the number of layoffs.

Not just salary, you need the fully loaded cost (benefits) of employees

Are you making an assumption that most of us make 100k a year?? Try more like 45 to 55 for long term employees. If you are referring to salary then you need to double the amount of people leaving

Divide the re-structuring plan by 100k and that will give you a pretty accurate total on the number of layoffs for the year.

Lots of luck getting facts from Xerox on that, but one clue to lay-off count is to figure out how much an average employee lay-off costs. Not so easy. But then you locate the restructuring charge that they intend to make. This is usually found in the quarterly report. Furloughs-not sure. You can also see total employee counts in the report and notice downward trends over the past 10 years. Not all due to layoffs-many people over time have gone elsewhere to better pastures.
