Thread regarding SS&C Technologies layoffs

SS &C a discouraging company to work for

My numbers are great and annual reviews are superb yet I discovered management talks sh– about me behind my back as Well as other people. if someone has a complaint about anyone a person is not gonna learn to do better and to grow and change unless you have a conversation with them about it. I want to find another job but this economy I doubt I could find better pay

Moral is a powerful thing. If ignored it reaches such a negative level even managers, directors, chiefs can no longer keep up the the positive outlook. If I were a shareholder I would take close note of these posts to gain a better look into the true inner workings of SS&C leadership.

IFDS, DST,Ss&C whatever you want to call them don’t have a clue. They don’t look after the people they have so the people they have stop caring about them. Never worked in a place where there was so many unmotivated people. The IT mgmt team is simply shocking, they probably have their hands tied to some extent, but when you compare them to say managers at DB or Barclays it becomes clear that they are the dregs of the market and their knowledge of I.T. Is out of date and their systems are not fit to be used in financial markets, insecure and some even condemned by external auditors.... get out of there and let them drown in the misery of their own making, life is too short.

Best thing is to fudge your numbers and blag it, I have been doing it for close to 20 years and still not been caught out as do many others along with the old head-nodding dog act and repeating what others say - works wonders! - youngers out there its all about having brass upfront. :-)

if you are in Bill inner circle you can do what you want. The health business is led by two people who cannot be trusted the smart people just say nothing get paid while looking for something else. they will suffer post pandemic when hiring starts again.

Left this place not too long ago. Increased my pay by almost 100%. Just gotta put yourself out there because once they lock you in at the starting price, you’re never getting much more.

A company does not provide charity by paying you for your work. On the otherhand you are not providing charity to a company by doing your job. If ever you are scared to leave then work on increasing your skillset. No matter the job market if you can prove your highly skilled another job you will have in 3 months or less. Will you have a better team to work with, well that's always a roll of the dice.

Hate to say it - it's not all about pay. If it is, to you, then you're gonna have to figure out the break even price for your self respect
