Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Just heard that I'm not going back to the office until Summer 2021 at least

Based in SR. Anyone else get word?

I'm hearing the same thing. Makes sense given that a vaccine isn't likely to be widely distributed until Q3 2021 even if one is approved for use by the end of this year. Many other large companies have already made an announcement (Ford, GM, Google, FB, etc.).

The forced rushed vaccination will be the next re-org. When your colleagues go Zeke and attack you, you'll need to hurry and report the bite to Rapid Response before you turn and do the same to others.

No official word yet for our team; more to come on October 1, apparently. But all signs point to it being highly unlikely that my team will be back in the office until Summer 2021.

More like when a vaccine is proven effective (vs ready). The good news things are moving fast, a couple months ago, you could not find a rapid test.

I have not heard this but I can't imagine we will be going back until a vaccine is ready

Lucky you! In my OpCo, management has settled on keeping us home throughout Renewal but considering at or before New Year. I would be happy if WFH lasted forever.
