Why should we care about Allstate when all the company cares about are profits and executive bonuses instead of their employees? I remember a time when Allstate treated us with respect and encouraged us to strengthen co-worker relationships with company sponsored picnics during the summers. Now, the only thing they seem to encourage is employees stabbing each other in the back as we fight to stay employed amid mass layoffs. So no, I no longer care if Allstate makes it or not. All I care about is how to leave this place.

Sad truth indeed. Some departments are actively encouraging employees to snitch on eachother including for things all employees are forced to do in order to reach production goals. Very toxic culture. It can be difficult to know what’s acceptable when most employees are forced to cut corners. Make sure you don’t stand out in any way. Don’t want to end up under the microscope in this throw your neighbor under the bus toxic environment.
no its NOT just a job.. many of us are dedicated hard workers who love our work and care about making the company successful. There was a time when Allstate really did care about the employees, not just the almighty dollar. Those days are long gone. Not a good time to be looking for work either. Many people laid off with little children, bills to pay. etc. So, NO its not just a job. and NO were not cranky, we're disgusted, scared and plain old sad.
Because we’ve been disrespected and not been told the transparent truth....would make any group of people in high stress jobs cranky. Waiting for months on lay off closure decisions. Ruthless company.
