What's going on? Have there been any layoffs so far this week or are they about to start today? Does anybody know more on what we can expect?

Marketing department just saw the first round today. Not sure how many in total but sounds like there will be more to come with the reorg that was just announced.
Seems like that's the way they are getting around having to report the layoffs. 100 or so a month. I'm curious what the total number is for this year.
Yes! Actively happening. Not sure to what it extent for everyone else but a fourth of my department got notices this week. About 100 total.
Are they doing under the radar layoffs under the state reporting requirements? There have been no news articles about layoffs since May. Over a certain number they have to report to the state.
Layoffs are happening. I know a person who just got their 60 day notice this morning. Their manager scheduled one on one meetings with each of their reports. In that meeting, you are quickly told if you are safe for this round or will be leaving.
Or am I worried over nothing?
