Verizon now provides unlimited paid sick days off. Just call out. No negative consequences. No question asked. This policy was confirmed by management. Several reps have been calling out many times and told us that there were absolutely no negative actions by HR. Several stores in the last two weeks could not be opened because of many call outs. What a great place to work!

Unlimited sick days my tail. You have one and the boss says “that’s one occurrence”. It wasn’t so long ago we had to get a doctors note to go to the doctor.
Does your duck hurt?
@1vyw+16a3RXF6 You want recognition for showing up and doing a job you get PAID for? .
Is the same true for WFH employees?
Vz needs to step up and be a leader. I get the money, trying to cut 10 billion. But this is a REAL pandemic. Protect employees first. Vz is going to be ok.
Before Verizon I worked at a company for 12 years and had a perfect sick call record. We never got any type of recognition for it I just liked to be able to say I never once called off sick. All around me coworkers were calling in left and right and knew how to play the system without it effecting their jobs. The only one who ever complained about them was me because of course I was the only one with the perfect record. So what did I learn from all this ? Call out whenever possible because in the end it doesn’t matter and everyone gets treated the same .
You're using them like crazy. That makes me sick. People like you should be fired from the company
